Package?
No matter where you live, before beginning your home remodel project, there are a set of pre-design steps that need to be taken, including establishing your Scope of Work, identifying requirements of your governing municipality, and documenting your existing home with a set of "as-built" drawings.
The True North Pre-Design Package can take care of all of that, plus offers two of 3 Lights Design's signature processes, The Full-Spectrum Client Intake, which get couple's clear on what they want as well as the crafting of The Project Narrative, which puts the Scope of Work and the Full-Spectrum Client Intakes into story form, and one that can be easily shared with others.
Not only does The True North Pre-Design Package provide you with clarity and confidence at the outset, it also creates relationship resilience in that 1) it serves as a constant guide as the project unfolds and 2) it allows other friends, family, and building professionals to connect with the project on a deeper, more personal level, which, from experience, leads to more beautiful, more functional, more personalized results.

Hi, I'm Austin
I'll be guiding you on this adventure. I'd been a home designer in the building trades for just under a decade when the Great Recession of 2008 hit. Much of my work dried up, forcing me to look elsewhere to support my family. Having a knack for helping couples navigate the complexities of a home remodel project, I began coaching both couples and individuals. As the economy bounced back, my love of good design with my love for healthy relationships merged into the same service. Viola! 3 Lights Design and The True-North Pre-Design Package were born.

6 Hours of Coaching
- One hour welcome call to get to know one another, to better understand your projects location, the Scope of Work, and to plan and prepare for the Full-Spectrum Client Intakes
- Two, 2-Hour Full-Spectrum Client Intake Sessions (2 hours allotted for each partner) to clearly define each partners' wants and needs, as well as their beliefs and values
- One hour strategic planning session based on our findings
Documentation and Deliverables
- Full transcripts and audio recordings of each of the Full-Spectrum Client Intakes that can be shared with family members and building professionals alike
- The Project Narrative, a description of the project in story form and one that captures the brilliance of each person involved and brings to light the deeper "why's" behind the project as a whole
Optional Services (Explored during welcome call. Pricing based on project size and location)
- As-Builts (documentation of your existing home) in 2D drawings (plans and elevations), 3D walkthrough, and computer aided design file formats that you can share with your architect or designer
- Code Check - Identifying your local municipality's important documents relative to your home remodel project

You can cancel before the coaching appointment and get a full refund, but not after your appointment has passed and/or the coaching has been completed
